SymphoniePLUS®3 is the core of NRG Systems’ complete system approach: tower, logger and sensors all designed to work together specifically for measuring the wind’s energy.
SymphoniePLUS3 data logger is both rugged and dependable. Its proven design means data is reliably collected and safely stored…even in the most extreme weather conditions.
The SymphoniePLUS3 data logger's innovative design allows you to collect and store time-stamped data from up to fifteen (15) sensors. Six counter anemometer channels and two analog wind direction channels are built-in. The three 'Flex' channels (either analog or counter) and the remaining four analog channels use Signal Conditioning Modules (SCMs), purchased separately, to add additional sensors of your choice. The analog or counter flexibility of the ‘Flex’ channels allow for numerous sensor configuration options, depending on the requirements of your particular wind measurement study.
Data is sampled every second, averaged and time-stamped every 10 minutes, and stored on a 128MB SD Card. Each SD Card is capable of storing 672 files of SymphoniePLUS3 data. A real-time display and keypad are built into the logger to facilitate site visits.
- Universal Anemometer Channels
- Six counter channels accommodate the NRG Class 1 anemometer, the NRG #40C anemometer or the brand of your choice. Counter channels do not require SCM cards.
Three ‘Flex’ Channels
- Can be used as either analog or counter sensor inputs.
- Flex channels configure automatically based on the SCM installed.
- Allows for numerous sensor configuration options.
- One-second sampling (conforms to IEC 61400-12-1).
- Data is averaged over a 10-minute period.

Password Protected Access
- Unauthorized user lockout prevents access to logger via the keypad.
Automated Data Transfer
To automate transfer of site data, SymphoniePLUS3 interfaces with your choice of Symphonie iPackGPS communication modules. An iPackGPS transfers data via a third-party communication service: satellite-based Iridium network, land-based cellular GSM/GPRS or CDMA networks. When SymphoniePLUS3 is deployed with an iPackGPS, site visits to retrieve SD Card data become unnecessary; the data is automatically transferred to your assigned ISP via email. All Symphonie iPacks are designed to be "plug and play", requiring only minimal hardware configuration.

NOTE: Choosing a BP-20 or RH-5X SCM for a barometric pressure sensor or relative humidity sensor requires a Symphonie iPackGPS to provide the necessary 12V source. For sites where remote communication is not needed, use a Symphonie iPack for PV Only.
